Hi, I am Elizabeth, the photographer and artist behind the camera. I have been studying photography for a little over fifteen years. I say “study” because the camera is the tool I use to frame my view of people, places and things. This is how I see my world, break it down. As an undergraduate, I exposed myself to a variety of fine art mediums, but I soon found that photography was my calling. Through graduate school, I successfully learned how to channel my emotions, visions and ideas by using the camera as my tool.

Post graduation, I found myself running a full-time photography business. At first I would question the direction of my chosen career path. What are you doing, Elizabeth? What happened to being an artist? Then one day, going through backlogs of images, I realized my art was right there, in the weddings I was documenting. It was staring at me through the faces of those I was photographing during their most precious and personal moments. I was capturing genuine human emotion. My art had never been better.

I am looking to tell a story. Convey a personality. Capture the truth. A wedding isn’t just about the party; it is about the family dynamic, the presence of close friend, the emotional highs and lows. A great portrait isn’t just about the perfect pose. My photos are descriptive, inventive and memorable. This, to me, is what I love about photography, capturing the moment.
